Well, I spent the day today down at Darling Harbour getting all "security summitted" (???) There were 3 or 4 sessions I really wanted to go to so I thought I might as well book out the whole day. I registered for the event http://www.microsoft.com/australia/security/summit/ a couple of months back now so was thoroughly looking forward. AS the day got closer more and more other tasks werebegging for my attention but they all got put off as I thought it time to do something for myself! I found Jeff Alexander (http://blogs.msdn.com/jeffa36/) a great presenter along with Raj... One of these days I'll have to get a blog address for him as I can never remember his surname and 've seen him at these events (and other technet events) a few times over the last couple of years. If you haven't already registered for the summit (in other states, I strongly recommend you try and register NOW as places are probably running quite thin. One thing that still amazes me is the number of "no shows". At 5pm this afternoon there were still HEAPS of name badges waiting to be picked up. This is just nothing short of poor form on the aprt of those who register and dont lob. Their place has still beeen allocated lunch seating, "show bags" etc and as such theres a cost for them to attend, if if it is "free". These are probably the same people who whinge about why "software is so expensive".. Cei la ve (or soemthing like that) |
